I am a freelance interpreter and translator who grew up in Michigan and has since studied and worked in Dakar, Senegal; Rouen and Paris, France; and Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
My principal interests and experiences are in Francophone language and culture, Iranian Persian language and film, Sign Language, and the Deaf community. Other interests include relationship dynamics, colonization, and true crime.
I love and am allergic to animals, will subscribe to the New Yorker even if I’m late on my Marketplace health insurance payment, and apparently pronounce “mop” like “map.”
